Chicago Food Festivals to Dig Into This June

Chicago summer – and all the food festivals that come with it – is finally in full swing. This month offers not one, but two Greek festivals where you can try out authentic Greek cuisine, plus beer festivals, a celebration of strawberries, and multiple “taste of” festivals. As always, be sure to check ticket information before you head out the door.

Lincoln Park Greek Fest

Friday June 6 through Sunday, June 8 | St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave.
This Greek Festival, put on by St. George Greek Orthodox Church and the Lincoln Park Greek Community, invites everyone to “be Greek for a day” with this large Hellenic festival, featuring Greek food, music, and more. 

Lincoln Square Greek Fest

Friday June 6 through Sunday, June 8 | St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 W. Winona St.
St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church also hosts a Greek festival each year, with authentic Greek food and pastries, and live music and dancing. 

Ribfest Chicago

Friday June 6 through Sunday, June 8 | 4000 N. Lincoln Ave.
Ribfest returns for its 25th year in Chicago’s Northcenter neighborhood, boasting “ribs, ribs, and more ribs.” An award will be given to the crowd favorite BBQ.

Food Truck Festival 

June 6, 13, 20, 27 | Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St.
Looking for a bite to eat on your lunch break downtown? This recurring food truck festival happens every Friday in Daley Plaza starting May 16 through October 3.

Blues, Brews, and BBQ 

Saturday, June 7 | The Morton Arboretum, Lisle
Enjoy an afternoon at the Morton Arboretum with the perfect pairing of Chicago-area blues bands, BBQ, and beers from local craft breweries. 

Taste of Des Plaines

Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14 | Library Plaza, Downtown Des Plaines
The street festival showcases the local restaurants in Des Plaines, plus beer tents and family-friendly activities.

Taste of Randolph

Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15 | Randolph St. between Peoria St. and Racine Ave.  
Taste of Randolph returns for its 28th year, highlighting the food of Randolph Street in the West Loop. 

Zoo Uncorked: Tequila & Tails

Saturday, June 14 | Brookfield Zoo
Enjoy some after-hours drinks at this 21+ event at the Brookfield Zoo, where you can sip animal-themed cocktails and wave hello to the animals.

Cantigny Jazz & Wine Fest

Sunday, June 15 | Cantigny, 1S151 Winfield Road, Wheaton
Pair jazz with wine this Father’s Day at Cantigny in Wheaton, with a lineup of live music and wine tastings.

Taste of Highland Park 

Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21 | Port Clinton Square, 600 Central Ave., Highland Park
This dining and music festival in downtown Highland Park will feature the area’s restaurants plus family-friendly entertainment. 

Forge Food Fest

Sunday, June 22 | The Forge: Lemont Quarries, Lemont
Try out more than a dozen cuisines from Chicagoland restaurants at The Forge: Lemont Quarries adventure park. 

Malt Row on Damen Beer Stroll

Wednesday, June 25 | Damen Avenue, between Wilson and Argyle avenues
Meet the craft beverage community and try out their beer, wine, and spirits at this stroll in the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor.

Chicago Taco & Tequila Fest

Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28 | 2534 N. Greenview Ave., Wrightwood Park
Turn up the heat this summer with a variety of tacos and tequila tastings at this annual festival in Wrightwood Park. 

Strawberry Fest 

Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29 | 145 Old McHenry Rd., Long Grove 
This annual, strawberry-centric tradition returns to historic downtown Long Grove and offers family activities, music, and strawberry-infused food and beverages.

Craft Brews at Lincoln Park Zoo

Saturday, June 28 | Lincoln Park Zoo
This 21+ event at the Lincoln Park Zoo features more than 100 craft beers and ciders, as well as music, food trucks, and free roam of the zoo. 

Chicago Food Truck Festival

Saturday, June 28 | 2300 S. Indiana Ave.
This food truck festival returns to the South Loop and has declared this summer the “Summer of the Chicago-Style Hot Dog.” There will be a variety of food truck vendors.  

Taste of Marquette Park

Saturday, June 28 | 6743 S. Kedzie Ave., Marquette Park
This Taste of Chicago neighborhood offshoot highlights the restaurants of the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
